We work with young people aged 16-21 who are Looked After Children (LAC), Older Looked After Children (OLAC) and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC). This may include young people whom are at risk of CSE, those who may present with challenging behaviour and young people who have emotional and behavioural issues. However, we are not limited to this.
Up to 4 young people can be placed with us
Placements range from 3 months to 2 years.
We also offer short term emergency placements within 12 hours of referral for up to 3 weeks. This can be extended up to 3 months dependent upon review of the young person’s settling, engagement with key worker and also the integration with other young people placed with us.

Yes, we have a team member in place 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Also, when required, we do offer 2-1 staffing to support young people who may require additional support hours and have varying support needs.
Yes we do. We provide a welcome pack for all new young people to help them with settling in to the house. This includes useful information about living at Principal House, a dressing gown, slippers, towel, headphones, a reading book, a writing journal and a £10.00 voucher to spend at the local high street. Basic toiletries are also provided which include: A toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, earbuds, shower gel, a flannel, shampoo, cream and sanitary products for females.
